Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field. Minimum of seven (7) years of professional (exempt) level HR experience. Must have experience in employee relations and be knowledgeable of employment law.

Job Description

As a trusted advisor, the HR Partner will provide advice and leadership to leaders and staff. The HR Partner will collaborate with various internal customers and stakeholders to help lead and drive change management, leadership development, workforce strategy, strategic staffing, organizational design, talent development, employee engagement, and employee relations. The HR Partner formulates effective partnerships across the Long School of Medicine and the HR department to deliver value-added service to management and employees.

Attends regularly scheduled meetings with respective business units. Consults with management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.

Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Works closely with management and employees to improve working relationship, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.

Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning. Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
