You will direct Warehouse Supervisors, Storekeepers and materials support personnel and is responsible for the warehousing activities. You’re responsible for the daily functioning of the warehouse(s) according to internal materials management standards, with a strong focus on housekeeping, safety and operational efficiency. He/she is responsible for ensuring inventory transactions are accurately recorded in the warehouse management system in a timely manner. The Warehouse Manager will coordinate periodic physical count program and develop cycle counting programs for each warehouse. Develop and implement strategies for improving efficiency in warehousing and materials management activities. Responsible for the functioning of the warehouse according to Company Standards, applying good housekeeping practices, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency, ensuring goods are received, stored and issued to internal and external customers in a timely manner. Warehouse Supervisor will coordinate periodic physical count program and develop cycle counting programs for each warehouse. You’re responsible for inventory transaction accuracy, both physically and as recorded in the Warehouse Management System.
Lead, direct, train and manage a warehousing team.
Involved in the recruiting, hiring and appraising of his/her team members.
Lead periodic physical counting program to satisfy Sarbanes Oxley and internal control requirements.
Conduct warehouse specific cycle counting program.
Ensure compliance with established procedures and Company Standards to maintain effective control over the physical product flow and storage for the warehouse and other inventory areas. He/she is responsible for ensuring high levels of housekeeping are maintained.
Implement required documentation and labelling per Company Standards and local requirements.
Ensure timely and accurate input to Warehouse Management System and ensure accurate stock transaction records while providing support for the use of the Warehouse Management System.
Ensures replenishment levels are set for stocked items.
Supports the identification of intercompany redistribution opportunities and the translation of the opportunities into material transfers.
Continuously improve processes to increase warehouse efficiency and reduce cost.
Prepare and provide monthly inventory reports highlighting changes in site and item inventory status and actively seek clarification and justification from local management.
Update and communicate Key Performance Indicators and best practices to the warehouse team and key segment parties.
Implement, as applicable, advanced materials techniques (eg. kitting, Kanban etc) to improve local material management efficiency.
Communicates with the business segment(s) supported, logistics and finance on warehouse activities, projects and KPIs.
Communicate with management occurrences of stock outs and warehousing failures (eg. damaged or lost goods) and participate in investigations and actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Comply with applicable company policies including, but not limited to finance, personnel and QHSE.
Any other duties as delegated by direct or functional managers as it pertains to the materials procurement, planning, delivery or warehousing processes.
Bachelor’s degree in a supply chain functional domain, or equivalent required.
Minimum of five years of inventory management experience within the oilfield, or similar MRO industry sector. Master’s degree in related fields of Supply Chain, Materials Management, and Industrial Engineering are preferred.
Analytical skills and familiar in the use of enterprise resource planning / warehouse management system applications and reporting tools.
Experience in implementing systems to drive inventory reduction, concurrently increasing customer service levels.
SAP experience and advanced Excel skills are required.
Minimum of 5 years of inventory management within the oilfield and similar MRO industry sector.
Previous experience warehouse operations and managing warehousing and support personnel.
Familiar in the use of Warehouse Management System applications and reporting tools.
An ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels of the organization with operations, finance and supply chain.
Has an understanding of the financial impact of inventory transactions.
Able to lead by example in rigorously applying company standards and procedures.
Commitment to continuous improvement and comfortable performing in an evolving work environment.
Must be local to the area and must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card) to facilitate access to facilities
